Originally from South Korea, DoYeon Kim completed a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance at the University of Cincinnati in the studio of Yehuda Hanani, a Master of Music degree Cello performance at the Eastman School of Music in the studio of Alan Harris and is now pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Cincinnati.

Ms. Kim began playing cello at the age of ten. She has won first prize in the Adrian Boyer Competition, the 34th Music Education Journal Competition, the Grand Rapids Federation of Musicians Madura Scholarship Competition, and second prize in the Chamber Music Competition at the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music. Ms. Kim has performed as a soloist with the Baroque Chamber Ensemble at Close Encounters with Music and the Bayview Music Festival Orchestra, and she has presented several solo and chamber recitals in the United States and South Korea.

Suhnah Yu received her Bachelor of Music in Violin performance at Seoul National University in her native country, Korea. She also received her Masters of Music and Doctorate of Musical Arts degrees at University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music where she studied with an internationally reknowned violinist Dr. Piotr Milewski.

Ms. Yu is an active performer in both chamber ensemble and orchestra. She was a formal member of iUVENIS and Collegia Musica Seoul Chamber in Seoul, and Queen City Virtuosi in Cincinnati. She was also invited to Verbier Music Orchestra Festival in Switzerland with a full scholarship as a representative of Korea. 

Suhnah Yu was a formal faculty of the Center for the Arts in Wyoming, Northern Kentucky University Preparatory department, and Cincinnati Music Academy. She is currently a music director of Harmonia Chamber Players, a beginning string conductor at Dulwich College Seoul and ensemble instructor at French School of Seoul.

Minsun Kang is an active violinist in chamber music and orchestra, as well as a violin instructor in Seoul, Korea. She had solo recitals at Kumho Art Hall and Sejong center for the performing arts in Seoul. She also premiered one of Brazilian music ‘Villa-Lobos’s Sonata-Fantasia for violin and piano no.2’ and music of Argentinean composers such as Juan Castro, Emilio Napolitano, Manuel Carriollo, and Hector Villou as the first Korean who studied the Latin American Music History. 

 

In Maryland, she played as an associate concertmaster at the Concert Artists of Baltimore and the 2nd violin principal at the Bel Cantanti chamber opera orchestra, and many others. She was invited to perform in renowned venues such as the Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall (NY), the National Art of Gallery (DC), the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater (DC), and Woodruff Arts Center (GA).

 

Mrs Kang received the Bachelor of Music at the Georgia State University School of Music with Out-of-State Tuition Waiver, Alfredo Barili String Scholarship, and University Scholarship. She continued Master of Music at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and completed Doctor of Musical Arts at Catholic University of America with full scholarship.

Born in Seoul, Bo Kyung Shin started to play the violin at 5 years old with Prof. Hera Jang. In 2001 she won the first prize of the young interpreters music competition in Suwon as well as  the second pf prize of the “ Korean times” string competition.  


Ms Shin has been awarded prize-winner “Andrés Segovia-José Miguel Ruíz Morales in the 2005. She continued her violin studies at the conservatorio superior de música (Baleares Isla ) Spain where she was invited to perform as soloist being winner of a conservatory string competition. In 2010 she achieved the second prize at the (Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes de Juventudes de España) following a tournee at Palma de Mallorca and Menorca, Spain.
 
Bokyung Shin has performed and collaborated as soloist and concert master with several Spanish Orchestras. Cerrently she is performing as soloist in a series of recitals in her Country with programs that includes works and pieces of Spanish Composers.

Hyo Jung Song began studying the piano when she was six years old.  A native of South Korea, she received her Bachelor of Music degree from Yeungnam University and Master of Music degree from Seoul National University. She took a second Master of Music degree and Graduate Performance Diploma, working with Brian Ganz at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Song received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati under Professor Michael Chertock and also worked as a graduate accompanying assistant in vocal department.

Previously, Ms. Song won the Art High School Competition in Korea as well as the Yeungnam University Competition, and performed concertos with the orchestras in both schools. She also got a prize from the Korea National Student Competition, Chamber Music Competition at CCM, University of Cincinnati, Korean Piano Duo Competition, American Protégé, and received a complete scholarship in support of her high school and university studies. She has presented solo recitals in Baltimore, Annapolis, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Ann Arbor, Seoul, Cheongju, and Daegu, and she gave a provincial performance tour in Korea as well. Mr. Song has a great interest in chamber and ensemble music as a pianist of the Elysia Ensemble, and has performed many duo recitals as well.

Misung Han studied cello at Royal College of Music with Alexander Boyarsky in the UK, taking part in master classes with Victoria Yanglying, Bernard Greenhouse, Ferenc Rados and David Dolan. 


She performed at several London venues, including St. Paul's Church, St. Martin-in-the-fields in Trafalgar square, St. John the Baptist Church in Kingston, Richmond Theater and Scientific Museum in Teddington. She also performed at Cortile di Palazo Campana in Italy and Carolus Borromeus Church in Antwerp and Town hall in De Panne in Belgium.


Mrs Han is now member of Jubilee Quartet and ensemble Croisez.
